OUR SERVICES

CREW AND NON-CREW MEMBERS MEDICAL CLAIMS

We will assist the ship’s agents in making arrangements for the crew/non-crew’s disembarkation, hospitalization or repatriation in case of illness, injury or death. A full report on the condition of the crew/non-crew and the estimated medical or repatriation costs are provided to the member through its P&I Club As medical claims can be costly and lengthy, we will also assist in checking and approving all relevant invoices and medical costs.

POLLUTION

In the event of an incident, we assist in preserving the rights of our clients by appointing competent surveyors and experts to investigate and cause and extent of the pollution. Once the extent of pollution is known we will assist the experts to manage this incident by liaising with local authorities and locally effected communities.

CARGO DAMAGE AND LOSSES

Upon receipt of instruction, we will deploy the most competent surveyors to identify the causes and extent of damage to help reduce our clients’ exposure. We will supervise the activities of the surveyors to ensure consistent and timely reporting and that instructions are followed. In Philippine ports, surveyors are accompanied on board the vessel and are introduced to the Master who is fully briefed on local maritime legislation and working practice.

SEIZURE OR ARREST OF VESSEL

In view of our close association with the best local maritime lawyers in the region, we can assist in lifting arrest orders against vessels. We will do our utmost to release the ship and avoid delays and allow the vessel to continue trading. We can also assist with the provision of Letters of Guarantee (LOG).

DAMAGE TO FIXED AND FLOATING OBJECTS

As a local correspondent, we can arrange for the most suitable person to inspect and assess the extent of the damage but also to ensure that reasonable steps are taken by the claimants to minimize the loss and to carry out prompt repairs, resulting in lower costs to the shipowner and his P&I provider.

HANDLING OF NON-CREWMEMBERS AND PERSONAL INJURY

Should a claim be lodged against the insured or his P&I Club, our highly qualified team of maritime lawyers with its wealth of experience and local knowledge is available to negotiate, coordinate and advise.

STOWAWAYS

Our bilingual staff assists the Master in completing the disembarkation formalities with the authorities on board the vessel and interviews the stowaway in order to ascertain the probable nationality. The Club/Owner is provided with an estimate of the repatriation costs and we provide all assistance including escorts etc to ensure the stowaway is safely and humanely repatriated.
